Curious about a 904 from a postal Jeep, circa 83-84. It's my understanding that these are the non-lockup type since a postal jeep just puts around.

Would these be a 998-999 variant with the 4/5 disc front clutch pack and low gear set?

Would this be a good unit to get the guts from to put into a regular small block pass car 904?

Price is a little high but is advertised as new. Would pull the trigger if I know the parts are worth it.

Thanks,

- Greg

buying a pig in a poke is always risky business even when times are good. I'd pass myself especially since the price is already not setting well w you and you have not even opened up the present yet. I'm assuming you have a non 999/998, 904 and are wanting to upgrade yours? I'd open yours up an contact master Kunkel for what hard parts to upgrade to/what kit to get and get a transgo TF-2 shift kit
