I am in the process of pulling my heads due to an interference with the intake runners and the pushrods. I discovered this after switching to harland sharp 1.5's and installing the correct length pushrods.

valve lift is .620

I would like to know what size pushrods people are running with these heads and at what spring pressures.

Pictures of the machining of the intake runner would be great!

Thank you,
Steve

How is the roller tip to valve stem alignment now? Is there enough room to space the rockers away from the imtake runners to clear the pushrods ?

roller tip to valve stem appears to be right. It starts its scrub just above centerline (closest to shaft) and ends its scrub just below centerline. Shimming i think would require new pushrods and maybe alignment issues. After reviewing the tech archive for shimming the mopar head, i think i will stay away from that one.

????????? He's talking about shimming the rockers sideways on the shafts away from the pedestals. I don't know which tech articles you're reading but there shouldn't be any issues with that at all unless you go nuts with shims !!!

If you have the valve train right now and the PR
touches you are best doing what you planned on doing,
pulling the heads and grinding the PR area for clearance,
granted they are talking side ways but if its centered
now I wouldnt mess with that and cut the PR area
so its right.... you need to cut enough to make it
just clear for the whole travel

Ah, that makes sense. The pushrod is hitting the top radius of the cut out right at full lift. shimming them will not fix it.

As far as the tech article i read, It appears that if you shim below the shaft and move the whole shaft up, it also moves the rockers closer to the exhaust side of the head. Changing the sweep significantly.

Thank you!

Anyone running 7/16 pushrods with EZ heads?

Unless your running some un-goddly spring pressure
there isnt a reason for the 7/16 PR... I run different
stuff than you but I run a 3/8 PR with 320# on seat
and some pretty big open pressures turning 8200+ rpm
and they have been happy in there for 4 years maybe 5
ask the PR manufacture on the wall thickness they
would suggest... mine is .090 CM... also the length
has a factor in it so ask the manufacture ...JMO

Yes, I run 7/16 pushrods in my EZ heads. There are multiple articles in the tech archives that cover EZ heads with big pushrods, .800 lift, Jesel rocker arms, etc.
