I guess it would flatten as they aged... It would seem they would have to be like 3/16" thick to work.

scratchnfotraction I Live Here S Joined: May 2003 Posts: 15,487 Florida	I use a new o-ring and some of the mopar black ATF sleezcone on it also makes it slid in ez-er and seals up nice tranz fluid resitant and last till it removed

I found it had a small crack where the "O" ring goes. I put some Mopar black AFT sealer on it, and it never leaked again (That sealer rocks!) FWIW, I has some of the Black sealer sitting in the garage because that is all Mopar uses to seal the trans pans on my '97 Chrysler Concord. They don't bother with gaskets on those

I don't know why parts stores don't carry them. I went to NAPA, Autozone and Advance. Maybe They just don't know what I'm talking about and if it's not in their computer they can't help you...
