4006630-440 is a 1978 block. It should be around 195 HP and around 320 ft-lbs of torque.

Your question makes no sense. Put the bong down and get some sleep.

with reggie

in english it would be "horse power" not "performance"

78 was last year for the 440 in trucks

Ok, that's it i try to say horsepower ,,my english is not the best , but i do my best,,,
This 440 have a low Horsepower,, but here is this or a 360...and well the 360 it's a very good engine but the 440 it's a very very hard to find and when someone have one on sale , want a lot of money!!!
Well however it can increase his HP and looks better too
Other question the camshaft, heads and pushrods it's the same than the 400???
Thanks for all
Regards

Yes, the 400 is pretty much the same as the 440 except the shortblock and intake.

I have a low compression mid 70's 440 too. With the right cam, a set of exhaust headers and some time spent tuning, it can perform well. Mine has no trouble lighting up the tires and putting on a good show.

hey man. here you go
361 383 400 bb engine. all have the same pushrods
413 426 440 rb engine. all have same push rods
all big block camshafts can interchange (work together)
the heads will bolt up. but all are different on the insides.
the intakes from bb engine will interchange
rb intakes are wider than the bb intakes.
dont take any crap from these guys on here. and its always in good fun so feel free to pick on them once you are on here for a while.

Thanks Mike
All are for fun and have a good time thanks for the answer

Thanks bro , i think the same , this 440 must be work hard (correct me if i wrong) the difference betwen the 440 early 70's and the last 440 are: in this last, the combustion chamber is more great (have less comprecion) and the early 70 works with a 10.5 (aprox) ,,because like say here: the head have "heart chamber" and must be have a more agresive camshaft
I think the ports of the head was have reduced, and change the camshaft too
more the gas without lead made the 440 reduced his HP...
well this is my theory... but with less changes this 440 must work very hard
afterall is a MOPAR
saludos cabrones

Actually the 68+ big block heads are all about the same in combustion chamber size and port flow. The 67 and earlier had closed chambered heads, but they were not the heart shaped ones. Camshafts were the same too. The difference was the pistons were taller on the older 440's. The late 60's 440's never had 10.5 compression either, they were more like 9:1, the factory lied about the compression numbers. The only factory 440 that came to 10:1 compression was the 1970 440 6-pack, it had better pistons. The mid 70's 440 pistons come to a calculated 7.8:1 compression.

Ahhh!! Ok then what changes is the piston. the heads and camshaft are the same in all 440??
Thanks
