ahy master A Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 7,664 IN	All muscle era MOPAR's have factory ignition boost! When starting they get full battery voltage to the coil so its "boosted". When running, current goes through the ballast so voltage is dropped and boosting is off. Boost is turned off when running because it is not needed and eats parts. I'd say the same thing about the kits.
