Was runnin at the "Mopars at the rock" Sat and my car was runnin pretty good. My three time trials were 7.36, 7.37, 7.36. Well I figured i would be safe with a 7.35 dial in. By the way I usually run a .36. So i lined up and left pretty hard and started to pull away from the guy next to me that by the way didnt put his time on his window till he got to the burnout box. (Nice trick!) I found later that he dialed in the same time i did. Dummy me forgot to HIT THE BRAKES!!!! Before i knew it i saw my time pop up and he had the "W". I ran 7.27. WHat the!!!..where did that come from?... My car usually slows down as it gets hotter, plus we had a bad head wind. Oh well it was fun and i learned another lesson, always hit brakes when your ahead of the guys next to you. I am happy with my ol 74 cuda with a mild 440 and stock suspension. With more work i feel confident i can get low 7.'s or heck even 6.90's.

Sounds like the track worked better for you than it did for me. CHIP

I was there Saturday and thought the track was hooking very well except for the 2nd (and my last) round. I had my best 60' ever of 1.611 on my 2nd time run then went 1.628 in the first round and spun to a 1.716 in the 2nd round and lost . Wasted a foot brake .003 reaction time too. It's a shame - I was feeling like I was "on" Saturday. Then, to top it off, the lift pump on my tow vehicle started acting up about 3 miles into a 240 mile trip home. A good beating every 100 miles or so restarted the pump enough to get home. Still had a good time.
