I have a rallye guage cluster in my 1968 Dodge Charger. Who has sent their cluster out to be restored? I`m looking for feedback, good and bad along with some prices for this type of work. Here are a few companies I`ve heard of, instrument specialties, redline, rts. From what I`ve read, instrumentaion specialties actually re-silk screens the guage faces rather than re-decaling them. Anyhow, who, where, why, do you folks recommend for this type of service? As always, thanks in advance.

I used Williamson's Instruments in Chester, Arkansas (479) 369 2551. I was referred to Williamson's as they supposedly carry more Mopar repair parts for Mopar Gauges than any other company carries. The owner is Ron Beliles. He redid my 1965 Plymouth Belvedere I Cluster and converted the Alternator Gauge to a Voltmeter Gauge for $ 425.00 total parts and labor + shipping. The Alternator Gauge Conversion to Voltmeter did not work the first time, so I had to remove the cluster again and send the entire cluster back a second time. All toll, it took 8 months to complete the work due to having to send it to them twice. Ron does warranty all of his work for 5 years and that is a plus. I also found that Ron Beliles previously worked for Shannon at Red Line Gauge Works in California, which is on your original list. How would I rank Williamson's ? " B minus to C plus ", since I had to remove my cluster and send it from my home in Ohio to Arkansas twice. All gauges and speedometer do function fine now after the second set of repairs. My gauges were not faded or scratched, so no silk screening was required. Williamson's does do the silk screening as part of their restoration service, if needed. Another thing, Williamson's restores old Sun Tachometers as well, so when I locate an old Sun Super Tachometer, I will send it to Williamson's for restoration. Williamson's has a website, but you will have to call Ron Beliles for the particulars on how to locate his website. Honestly, if I were to go through this project again, I would bite the shipping cost bullitt and send my cluster to Shannon at Red Line Gauge Works in California. Good Luck...

You should use me, www.instrument-specialties.com I have perfected the original factory silkscreening process to where you can not distinguish a restored dial from NOS. I have seen some competitors work and it is nice, but I have the only dial process that is 100% OE. I also perform total mechanical, cosmetic and electrical repairs and restoration of all gauges. I warranty all work for 5 years, quartz clock conversions for 10 years. Quick turn around and fair prices. email me if I can help you. Discounted pricing for Moparts members. Thanks Mike
