the covers are different between SB & BB not sure on the seal swap myself,I just may learn something new here on this post but sb have 1 that goes in from the inside and 1 thats goes in from the out side on the t-coves so may depend on what seal your looking at for a sb to use on the BB I have a BB 440 and have not had the fun of a front seal yet

ok so, the early sb seal that goes in from the inside does not swap out on the BB cover correct?? the later one that goes in from the outside does swap out to the BB correct? if so I learned something new..thanks

They late cover uses an oddball sized seal from memory...well, only late small block that is. I've never put a seal in a late small block, only big blocks and early small blocks...but have had the late SB covers around at least to know what they are like
Late cover on the right, and magnum on the left..
