I have been running a big block mopar for a few years now and it seems no matter what i use for sealant on the bolts i have at least one that leaks when i put it together. I have mopar stage 6 heads and i just got it together and there is 3 bolts leaking even though i coated them good with permatex thread sealant.What is the best thing to use to seal up these bolts. Now I have hooker super comp headers and they are not the easiest to be taking on and off a bunch of times so I would like to get it fixed on the first try.

I've had good luck with several wraps of teflon tape and 1" long bolts with my Hooker Super Comps.
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.

I think I will try the teflon tape I have the 1" header bolts I was just not sure about the tape I have used the thread sealant befor and got it to work but I figured there must be something better and this would be the place to ask around.

Would it be possible for you to use an oe type stud w the shoulder as they seal real well and you can trim the outer fine threaded section till there's only enough threads left for the nut to fit flush which will help you w fitment w the header flange and if you have a choice of gaskets that are slightly thinner that will also let you trim more threads off to further help the situation

The Headers are such a pain to get on and off im not sure if the studs would fit or not im sure that would definately seal em up

Excuse me dragram but I was at work for this hour.
Just for the record. Teflon tape and pipe thread sealant are both for pipe thread. Tapered threads, not straight. It may have worked 98% of the time but the fact is straight threads are hard to seal simply because they were never designed to.
Save the flame throwing. I use silicone to seal header bolts all the time. 98% is good enough for me.
If you absolutely need it to seal. Do what the factory does. Use an exhaust stud. They have 2 different threads on them seperated with a shoulder. The shoulder will seal the hole. Just to make it 110% sealed up, Daub some silicone on the stud too....and double nut the stud and tighten it until the shoulder is bottomed out.
