kieron_kohlmann OP member K Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 112 Auburn Hills, Michigan	so i have a 50 amp alternator and it doesnt have enough juice to keep up. i cant seem to find a 75 amp. alternator that isnt chrome. any one have some ideas?

You can also rebuild your own alternator. The only appearance issue is that it will be slightly thicker. http://store.alternatorparts.com/daimlerchrysler.aspx One caution: Your bulkehead connector is not rated to handle that much current. Use the factory manual to convert to police/taxi wiring for 55Amps and above. It is in the Satellite and Fury wiring diagrams for Plymouth, Coronet, Diplomat diagrams for Dodge. Andrewh master A Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 8,671	I agree, order the 89 new yorker alternator for the full size. It will be around 75 amps. For the sb, I found, I could not get the swing arm to line up. The alt went out too far. The chrome gm swing arm, (10 bucks new) reached out far enough, but I needed a spacer on the block to line it up.
