I wrestled with my clutch pedal pad and clutch pedal for probably 20 minutes last night. I tried a litle soap and water and the othe side kept slipping off. Seems like it is like fitting a twenty gallon head in a a ten gallon hat. Are the reproduction pads the right size? Any tips for getting these things on easily?

I use WD 40 and a thin plastic bar or screw driver to pry the lip up and around the pedal flange. I really haven't had any issue. I did my 73 Challenger stick with after market pads,no problem. I should add that there are early and late peddle pads that are different in shape. I can't remember the year but some are square and some have tapered corners.

Compare it to the old one but in all likelyhood it's correct, they just go on REAL tight when new and might grab a helper and have them hold one corner engaged as you open up/fit the rest of it.

Throw them into some hot water for a couple of minutes and then try putting them on.
