Please fire out some things to look for...

my pedal is hard like pushing on a block of wood but it does not relate into braking... I can push like a SOB and I can just barly stop the car... Pedal is not on the floor by any means either.

I checked the back drums and they look good... I blead them. they lock up on the jack if you press the pedel..

I also blead the fronts and they lock up as well on the jack.

I'm thinking it the master or the booster or maybe the proportioning valve???? not sure..

What kind of vehcile is it? What type of brakes are you running? How much vacuum do you have? An HP cam can cause low vacuum and that will give you the type of brakes you are experiencing.

After pumping the brake pedal 20 times with the engine off.

Press on the brake pedal and start the engine.

If the brake pedal does not sink under your foot you have a bad booster or vacuum leak to the booster.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.

its a 75 dart sport with no real upgrades from stock as far as the brakes go.

It has a cam but its been in the car for a few years and the brake issue showed up at the end of last season...
