I'm posting as the happy user of an 8 3/4.

Do you think you are pushing the limit of the 8 3/4? Big torque, stickey slicks, transbrake? If you are pushing it money and time spent on the 8 3/4 may be a waste. It will break somewhere else. Better to go with a D60. If you aren't pushing it, just leave it alone, save your money and enjoy.

Mine works fine because its a road car with road race aspirations... no first gear launches on stickey slicks required. Maybe 2'nd on an auto cross but the 8 3/4 can take that.

I'm having one put on my 8 3/4 for additional security. My guy has it right now and I should have it back in a week. I'll post some pics if you like. I went with Moser for their back brace.

Incase you wanted to see it to give you an idea what it looks like when it's welded up, here it is with the Moser piece. If you plan to do this, make sure you/your guy uses a jig and is VERY careful not to warp it... you can kiss it good bye if that happens...
