Does the 5.7 hemi come factory with a mini starter. It looks pretty small, but I'm not sure what the mini looks like. 04 ram 5.7

they are all "mini" now, not sure why you ask but if you are wanting one for an older engine (A engine, RB, etc..) then those newer ones won't fit. I have a 2001 Durango starter that would not fit my 360/727 Challenger. the snout is different.

It seems there are 2 versions of the LA mini starter snout, one has a slightly longer bendix gear throw. Google it and the website will come up. There are also 3 different torque ratings. Not a one size fits all any more.

Stick with the 3.9/5.3/5.9 starters. Have yet to see a 1990 and newer 3.9/5.2/5.9 mini starter that didn't work on the LA engines. Yes there are some slight sizing/styling changes but they still bolt in and work fine.
