My dad's 87 2.2L turbo non intercooled blew the radiator the other day after the cap went bad. I can take a radiator out of an 89 2.5L nonturbo car that I know is good and put it in there so he can get his car back on the road again. Question is are the two radiators the same? Napa's website lists the same radiator for both however we all know how that can go. Thanks for the help I need to get the car back on the road ASAP.

I don't see why you can't.The intercooler is seperate. The only snag will be auto vs manual.Just plug the auto cooler lines if it's going to a manual. If the dimensions are the same,go for it.

Awesome thanks guys, both cars are automatics so the cooler fittings won't be a problem.

Yes the T1 rad is the same as a non-turbo rad. The intercooled cars ran a noticeably narrower rad, because the intercooler sat beside the rad. The T2 cars didn't get a bigger rad opening, so they narrowed the rad to squeeze them both in.
