If you need to really plant the tire you can get a better ET with a trans brake... its that way with my car... if I'm not up in the revs the tire wont plant and I spin... your set up may vary

ITS just another thing to break or worry about imo. i dont think you'll see any improvement and it puts a big strain on your tranny and rear.

My car is 60 footing better with the brake. It is also deadly consistant .It either gets a 1.58 or a 1.57 everytime on the brake at 3000 rpm ,and thats with me manually dropping the button .No 2 step on board .As far as traction goes im using 8.5 wide slicks on 7 inch steel wheels ,with 40 year old $35.00 Foxcraft slapper bars that are older than me and not suppose to work on a Mopar .Does this look like a rear suspension setup that should be getting 1.57 60's.Dig my Crusty Rusty 46 year old original 6 cylinder springs ,lol ...
SINCE YOU ASKED YEA!!!!
With only 400 hp and a PG on 8.5 slicks in a 3000 lb car ?Didnt think so ,lol ...
