I don't care about reaction time and don't intend to do any bracket racing; is there any ET advantage to a trans brake?

Thanks,

Greg

I didn't see any when I switched.

It did make the car much easier to stage and launch though

If you need to really plant the tire you can get a
better ET with a trans brake... its that way with my
car... if I'm not up in the revs the tire wont plant
and I spin... your set up may vary

Don't waste your money. You may launch harder with the TB but then again you will also spin harder. Then you buy better tires or slicks to get it to hook then you will most likly find the weak spot in your drivetrain. Not worth the hassel if you are not a racer.

If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

I just hope my 383 makes enough power to justify a brake!!

Thanks guys! I got a 1.5 60ft out of my foot brake on an old sloppy transmission. I use the car for the street nights at the track and local car show cruise nights.

Later,

Greg

Would they allow a T brake in that class?

My car is 60 footing better with the brake. It is also deadly consistant .It either gets a 1.58 or a 1.57 everytime on the brake at 3000 rpm ,and thats with me manually dropping the button .No 2 step on board .As far as traction goes im using 8.5 wide slicks on 7 inch steel wheels ,with 40 year old $35.00 Foxcraft slapper bars that are older than me and not suppose to work on a Mopar .Does this look like a rear suspension setup that should be getting 1.57 60's.Dig my Crusty Rusty 46 year old original 6 cylinder springs ,lol ...

If your converter will flash up on the foot brake it probably won't do alot. my one motor would not come up on foot brake so it would fall on its face. Using the brake I could bring it up into the power band, all the differance in the world. Depends on your combo.

ITS just another thing to break or worry about imo.
i dont think you'll see any improvement and it puts a big strain on your tranny and rear.
