Hello
is there a difference in B body and E body leaf springs? Measures seem to be the same. I have some big block e body leaf springs that I would like to install in a 69 Coronet big block.
It's possible?
Thank you

The front segment is the same, but the rear segment is an 1" longer. Its possible, perhaps not optimal, but i've seen it done more than once.

I might actually have to play with this stuff too, if it comes down to crunch time and i dont have money for new springs... I've got a nice set ov 69 B-wagon springs to mickey-mouse into the Challenger. Gonna re-arch them to bring the eye to eye lengths to E-body spec and give me a bit more height.

That one inch will beat the rear valance if you put B springs under an E. ou'll have to move teh rear hanger if ou put E springs under a B.

Better bet might be to keep the appropriate main leaf and swap the pack springs to get the desired control your after.

Might be able to gain a bit by drilling new holes in the front shackles forward a bit. There's not much space to play with between the front of the eye and the shackle but there is some and you would want to rear shackle leg to be at about 4-5 O'clock viewed from the side w it loaded. Mock it up & see what ya got as tolerances vary from car to car & it very well may be easily doable in your case. I'm putting some E body ones in an A body (2" longer) becasue they are high dollar ones and I dont want them to go to waste and I may have to relocate the rear shackle mount rearward to get the right aforementioned angle on the rear shackle

But what would be the difference between using a re-arched B-spring (to bring spring eyes to E-specs) and just buying a new E-spring with the same arch, as far as the rear valence goes?

I'm not only doing this for more spring rate, but more ride height as well.

I want to put a E spring under a B. Any issues?
This was my original question.
