I'm doing the Disc brake conversion on A 66 BelvedereII The question I have is there a preference of the caliper mounting, as in front of spindal or in towards the rear?? It can go either way depending on which spina dal goes where and the big question is what is the part number for the flexible brake hose either way? Thanx guys!! Appreciate all the help.

Some prefer to mount the caliper to the rear to avoid any of the possible interference issues with the front sway bar where it mounts to the lower control arm. One added benefit is that rear mounting places weight behind the axle centerline, which in some small way, helps front to rear weight distrubution. Using a brake hose from a FMJ body is the usual deal with rear mount.

Thanx for the info Frankenduster!! I guess I'm going to mount them in rear then. Appreciate the input. I'm not using a sway bar but a shorter hose also makes sense, less chance of interference with any moving parts. Have a great Easter!!!
