I have used them but I bought a kit from mopar perfomance that allowed them to have a regular adjuster and locknut setup. I ran them with a small solid roller and they did fine. I sold them to a member on here and I think he is still using them. I did install the chrome shafts from mancinis IIRC.

an interferance fit on the threads kept them in place. if they were adjusted alot the threads could loosen up, changeing them to use jam nuts is a good idea

Have a set on my old car and we used the adjuster and locknuts on them also.
Ran my old 360 in it with stock adjusters for years with a hydraulic cam but I did have a couple back off on it a few times.

I ran them for years on my 340s and never had a problem. A lot better than the stock stamped steel rockers of which I did break a few.

I used to run them on my 340, solid cam motor. The adjusters used to back off. I tried different adjusters, different rocker arms, etc... after a while, they all just seemed to keep backing off.
You can have a local machinist spot face them for you, then you can run a jam nut... good idea to do the swap.
The interference fit is just a bad idea (especially on vibrating/moving parts). That's why every aftermarket mopar rocker arm built today has a jamb nut.
On a side note, I work for a very large automotive supplier (5+ Billion in sales). Under no circumstance can we use an interference type locking fastener on ANYTHING. They are just too high of a risk to loosen up...

I built a legal 1971 340 NHRA E/SA motor several years back when you had to use the stock type ductile iron rockers in stock, the owner had over 100 273 rockers, I set every one of them up on one side of his motor and checked them with solid lifters and checking valve springs, them rascals where horrible on the ratio, from very low to very high. He ended up having me build two motors so I needed 32 legal rocker arms, we ended up buying a set of Isky to get one more leagl rocker for the first motor and went throough five more sets of them to get the final 8 rockers to have two matching legal sets I hadn't heard of RAS at that time I did end up using them to blueprint some ductile iron BB rockers several years later IHTHs

One more little thing, if you are running a hyd. cam, you need different pushrods. Crower had 'em for me way back before the interwebs, there may be other sources now.
Back in the early '80s, I had a set on a 340 and with a purple shaft 474 'Hemi grind'. I went to NAPA and ordered a set of '70 340-6 push rods, I think they were Speed Pros, probably no longer available. For lock adjusters, I used a set from Crane Cams. I ran a tap thru the rocker to eliminate the interference fit so they were easy to turn while setting the pre-load.
