Depends on the rest of the exhaust. If you'r running a stock 2 1/4" exhaust maybe 10-15hp but when you go up in size and add decent mufflers maybe 25.

I cannot ans that Q directly but keep in mind that any dia reduction past the header collector flange which includes the collector reducer hurts flow and therefore your power. any backpressure past that point is detrimental (though you will always have some). I'd bite the bullet and do it right starting w some ($)tti's($) and a 3" mandrel bent system from front to rear w dynomax super turbos (walker 17769 I believe) and an X pipe in the middle and resonators(both of these are critical for noise reduction) of some sort rearward in the pipes along the springs. Have you rejetted the oe AVS. If not an eddy strip kit (there's 6 of em) but get the one w the rods/jets close to what you have now along w a pair of AFB flat metering rod caps would benefit you. The 2 step eddy rods require a 2 step type eddy jet as opposed to the oe AVS 3 step rods/3 step type jets. All oe AVS's are emission calibrated and you WILL notice a difference w rejetting and w headers you'll need to rejet anyway.

Headers and a good free flowing exhaust with X pipe or minimum H pipe will pump it up a lot.
On your combo the exhaust valves are a little too big and the cam is a tad small for the heads and an RPM performer is a better choice but yea got what yes got.
what is the gears tranny and torque convereter.

A 3310 750 vac would be a good crab unless it's 4 speed then a 750 DP.

In a true apples to apples comparison, maybe 20 hp. If you plan to continually add power going forward, the benefit of the headers will become even greater.

sorry, the valve sizes were 2.14 / 1.81

the pipes on back would be 2-1/2 , unless 3" would be considered a gain, but maybe not with manifold exit i.d. or collector size

would do at least a H-pipe

1800 stall, 3.23 on the drive train

thanks for the help

with a full stock style exhaust you'd be lucky to see a 5 or 8 HP gain with headers on a dyno.

A little more converter would make a big difference

I just installed a six pack Eddy head in a 69 GTX today--TTI 1 3/4 inch fit like a DREAM! Power steering and all--The bigger tubes are really for the big HP--I love the 1 3/4 for STREET stuff

Went 12s with a 440 and a .455 lift cam and compression bent exhaust.

Plus, you can put more into the motor when you don't have to buy a gear, a torque converter, and tires.

I'd go with 3" exhaust right off (not much more money) works best and if you start to grow more hp you are already set
