Mopargnome OP super stock Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 770 Central Utah	I am trying to put the cast aluminum valve covers on my Shelby Dakota and its kind of giving me fits. Do I need longer bolts? This is why I paint em, I hate these little issues!

wingman Uncreative Title Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 3,387 St. Charles, MO	If you are going from stamped steel covers to cast aluminum covers you may need longer bolts, especially if you are using the thick rubber gaskets that came with the covers. The cast ones are a lot thicker at the flange. Summit and lots of other places have them. RodStRace I Live Here Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 12,481 Chino Valley	Check the top edges of the valve covers where the intake ports are. Lots of aftermarket covers have clearance issues there. Don't know about the MP ones. Want me to come over?
