I recently removed the vinyl top from my Coronet and the years of moisture have taken their toll. There are about 20 tiny rust holes and i am wondering what others would recommend doing for repair. The car is just a 4 door daily driver project so replacing the roof skin is out of the question. I'm not replacing the vinyl and plan on painting the car a dark gray.

Any pointers are appreciated!

Thanks,

Cole

Depending on how big the holes are you can either cut then out and replace patches with metal. If they are small pinholes you could try either all-metal or a short strand fiberglass filler. Just be forwarned that if you just fill them there is a good possibility that it will bubble your paint later down the road. I just did a roofskin on a 71 challenger but that roof was wasted. Good luck!
