dart443 OP member D Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 39 ontario canada	Picked up a 4spd a body trans with an aluminum side cover & tailstock.It's not an over drive. What's this thing from?

Kern Dog Striving for excellence Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 18,493 Granite Bay CA	Given the similar bolt patterns for the side covers of all 833 trans, chances are that the aluminum cover and tailshaft were swapped from a later trans. The Feather Duster and Dart Lite cars were available with all aluminum 833 OD transmissions, MOST if not all post 77 833 OD units intended for trucks and vans had iron tailshafts with aluminum cases and side covers.
