Hi Guys,

Do 70 E bodies with 3 speed tranny,s get the reverse light on the dash? Also do all 4 speeds get the light or is it an option? I've got a rough 70 Challenger 340 shell that had a standard trans with the original dash in the car but it doesn't have the hole for the reverse light. No fender tag so I'm wondering if maybe it was a 3 speed?

Three speed cars have no reverse light ever. I have 1 70 car and two 71 cars that are three speeds. ALL four speed cars have the reverse light, it is not an option, but is standard or required on all four speed cars. Hope this helps you out.

I can verify what M47 said. I added the reverse light to mine so it looked more like a 4-speed way way back (think Carter administration...)
