When I had the block honed to get ready for the year at MPG cylinder head, we were talking about all the intake gaskets I had to stack to get the intake to line up with the head ports. I was using 4 sets that are .060 each thick and twenty something bucks each set fron Indy. This .240 was still a little short, so they made some plastic spacers that are .260 thick and lined everything up perfect. The block is 10.72, and I had to slot the intake bolt holes quite a bit, but I think it was worth it.

Another. I used the long skinny screws to line everything up while installing the intake. They are drilled through the spacer, and into the head a little.

Looks good. Was the block decked short or material taken off the intake?

Hey Jim,
Not sure on the heads or intake I bought the topend used?
The block has a 10.72 deck height.
The spacers cost me a little less then the 4 sets of intake gaskets, and everything lines up real good now.
