I thought I saw a post here a while ago with a list of performance upgrades for new challengers. Trying to figure out the best bang for the buck.

It depends on what you want to do. I wanted a new, reliable, quick car so I went for a complete exhaust, tuner, sticky tires, and converter. ..oh and a little n2o from time to time.

Those changes really woke the car up.

If I could run 13.00's I would be happy for now since it's my street car.

Check Challengerformz.com. There is a ton of information and product comparisons.

SRT8 air box if it doesn't already have one and a tuner are the easiest and give good gains for the money, headers and off road mid pipe for the most power.

I put JBA shorties and catless mids on my wifes '06 Charger and picked up 4/10's, it was running 14.30's stock, the SRT8 airbox and Diablo tuner got it in the 13.80's, headers and mids knocked it to 13.40's, a catback didn't gain anything but did make it sound better. This car is really heavy too, probably 4400# I could probably strip it out like most guys do and run 13.20's.

I did the cold air intake, but everything mentioned is good bang for the buck.

The largest New Challenger forum is

www.challengertalk.com

or for all LX/LC cars

www.lxforums.com

A diablo, thermostat, A pro cmr tune with an afe intake and highflow cats with a good exhaust will get most lc's deep In the 13's.

I've been out of the performance game on those cars or a while but they will scream when the vct cams come out.

I've seen an 09 6mt 5.7 car do 347 rwhp stock. Definetly strong but it's all in the eagle heads.

Challengertalk.com and lxforums.com are where I usually go. Which model Challenger? Mine is throwing down 375 whp consistently with a slight cmr tweak on the AF to eliminate some knock retard she was throwing (think due to the doug thorley headers, but not 100% sure of that, desensitised the knock sensors to 2.0V before pulling timing as well). Good luck!
