How thick should a 3/4" 4130 (is that the one to use) tube be for use as a steering shaft??? .095 about right?

I use 3/4 x .065

2 factors.... first is where I brace the column and
I felt it was plenty strong enough.... I triangulate
the column with 2 tubes about 3" from where the quick
connect is
