The Jag fan clutch is a thermal clutch. Locks up so to speak and spins faster when the engine is getting pretty hot. Now, let's say the engine is pretty hot and the fan clutch has locked up and is spinning faster, not slipping, and now the engine is turning about 6,000 RPM's. Can the clutch fan take that kind of RPM without coming apart? In other words, can a clutch fan spin safely at high RPM's?

It will slip, so high RPMs should not be a problem,

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

Even at full tension, you still do not get a 1:1 ratio off of the clutch fan at higher rpms. The drag of pumping that air basically gets the clutch fan up to a point where it's rpm levels off and just won't go any higher or will barely go any higher. Or at least that's what I've been told. I wouldn't worry about it, I've never heard of anyone having trouble with fan clutches flying apart at high rpm.

those replacement clutches are kind of week in my opinion, they don't seem to lock up till higher temps 195/200 and don't lock up tight.
