It's not happened to me but my wife says the DS PW went down and only came up with a struggle. I'm guessing the bearings in the motor may be bad causing it to drag. Have any of you had this problem and if so what did you find? Any tricks or advice to repair?

Sounds like you need to replace the regulator assembly, they come with the motor.

Ditto to above! Wifes T&C had same problem and replaced regulator w/ motor assembly and all was well. Just is a tight fit thru the opening, just pay attention to how you remove from door so you can install in the same direction.

Good luck

Probably not a common thing, but I've had issues with grease from the screw/gear leaking onto the brushes so it wouldn't make enough contact to complete the circuit sometimes. I just pulle the case apart, clean the contacts up a little and put it back together and it works again.
