I just installed a Moroso oil pan part # 20760 in my 1974 b-body and have ran into a problem. The back of the pan is a 1/8 inch away from the center link when the wheels are straight. When I turn the wheel the link hits the pan, I can only get ¾ of a turn on the wheel before it hits. My question is how far dose the center link move forward from straight to full lock left or right? I need to get an idea on how much this pan needs to cut.
Thanks.

I'm not sure how far the center link moves, but for some visual reference, I run the cheapie 440source 7 quart pan in my 74 without issue.

I am thinking that the center link could be turned around, switched from side to side. You may try it to see if swapping sides gives you more clearance to the pan.

Thanks for your input. I will check the center link when I get home later. I had to walk away yesterday, it was about to get real ugly if I would have stayed. Lol. I just don’t have the patience anymore.

Well after reading another thread about a similar problem with a center link oil pan clearance problem, I went back under my car and discovered that my center link was in backwards. I am going to switch it tonight and I am 99.9 % sure that this will solve the problem. I just wanted to say thanks to the moparts members for always helping out, and making this hobby easier.
