Is my 6 bbl engine block original?
I would say NO. Full VIN# stampings were used during the first half of the 1969 model year. I have NEVER seen an authentic '70 model year engine with the full VIN#. What is the engine assembly date off of the top pad?

The front pad still has the original milling machine marks on it and has the following info: F 440 11 12HP2 ...
F 440 - 1970 440 CI block 11 12 - Assembly date of Nov 12, 1969 HP2 - High Performance build, second shift
