Sorry to bump such an old thread, but is anyone running 295/65/15 on the stock ride height?

I'm currently running 29x12.5x15 Sportsman Pros on 15x8 steelies and they fit without rubbing, however, they're very close.

I want to step up to 295/65/15 DR's, which are basically 30x12.5x15

Thing is, although the DR's have a smaller section width (12" vs 13" on the Sportsmans), they have a wide tread width (10.9" vs 10" on the Sportmans)

The Sportsmans fit great with room to spare because the tread area is rounded, but I'm afraid the DR's might rub on the outer part of the wheel wells (not the quarter lip) due to the flatter contact patch.

Just curious how long you've had this car and did you buy it like it is now or build it? Sure looks a lot like one I did 15 years ago that went to Michigan the Arizona I believe... then lost track of it.
