in my earlier post i asked if there were aftermarket trays for my 340 stroker application. i was lucky enough to have someone post the simplest solution that i prolly never would have thought of, and that was to put a washer under each bolt of the origional one! (i fetl like kind of a moron when i read that lol) but i am however getting a mixed opinion on weather or not i should keep the tray or not. i am using the stock pan. so guys, am i better to put a washer under each botl, or toss the tray all together? thanks for ur imput!
Im goin fast Mom!

For big blocks yes For small blocks it uses up ponies.
I think you've seen the race thread - I decided to go without when I kept an eye on this topic whenever it is discussed. People who've done back to back testing and whose opinions I've observed to be generally correct mostly say dump it.
Get a crank scraper and a deep pan, and be done with it

kind of curious, but why would you lose horse with a windage tray in a small block?

If you are running a stock unbaffled pan, keep the tray.
