My balancer fits snug but it can be unbolted and pulled off by hand. Unless im not seating it all the way down but I think I am how would I know? BTW its a 383

Bolt on all of your accessories.(brackets, pulleys's exc...) Then put a straight edge across the pulleys and make sure they are all lined up. If they are, the balancer is seated all the way.

Thats how I noticed the problem Im putting p/s back on and getting it all to line up and it still would slide back and forth some
