I swap to a roller cam on my 360 headed 318
did it with heads on engine with the KD tool hand compresser
the comp 901-16 springs drop on,no other machine work needed, they are a single with a damper
they will take stock valve seals
used all the stock roller lifters/push rods/shafts/HD rockers/retainers/locks from a 1990 core/parts engine
used a lunati voodoo roller cam 60710
258/264
207/213
.485/.485 lift
I got the lunati springs but the are double with a damper for all of there sb cams
so I researched and Patrick recomended the comp 901-16
been 6200 rpms with it and no valve float...
just match up the spring rate of the cam manufactures springs and pick the one thats the closest or a tad more than they spec
the comp 901-16 cover a lot of them for a sb
done swaped about 4 sets on my buddys 4-trucks and a set on mine,we are useing lunati cams with the comp 901s in all the sb engines now
