Sorry, couldn't find a clear picture, my 69 has a 77 motor in it right now but I can get some pics of it later today if no one else has anything better. I believe there are 3 brackets, 2 in front that pivot on top of each other and one in the rear. Let me know if you need the pics.

Thanks!!!!
I think it is a '76 engine. Maybe why no one seems to know.
I would really appreciate the pic if the could get one.

Here are some pics:

Mounted best I can figure. (Note gaps against block and one to water pump housing)

Here is block (Note mounting holes below head on drivers side. My '71 engine does not have these bolt holes)

Here are the other brackets. They are also different from ones I have seen:

You have the same post in the q&a section. This is what I told you there.

The other brackets you show look to be close to the right ones. The one you are trying to use is an A/C bracket. Look at the pics on big block darts site and thats the way yours should mount.

I looked at Bigblockdarts and didn't find anything on power steering.
Those brackets you mentioned are close to being right don't work without the big bracket.
Maybe I will have to buy a bracket set.

Mopar346 sent you pics, didn't they help? If it was working when you disassembled, there must have been washers in that gap. Throw a couple of washers back in place and get on to something new!

If all else fails - get a set of correct brackets for 70-71 E body w/440.

Yeah, I got those pictures. Obviously they didn't help or I wouldn't be spending all this time on it.
Look at my engine and the car it's goin' in.
Would you "Throw some washers in it and move on."?
I was hoping for a more educated opinion on correctly identifying these stupid brackets. Before I toss them and buy new ones that may not be correct for my year engine. (Note mounting locations below drivers side head. These are not on a 70-71 440.)

Most 60's-70's RB pumps will mount to the pump housing alone...not the block too. Perhaps a '67-72 440 pump housing is the answer along with correct 70-71 pump brackets. Keep the pump - if you can & trash the brackets. My '70 383 has those two holes under the head & so does my '70 440.

The car is nice, the '76 440 block is nicely painted (polished a turd?), and the new cadmium bolts are nice too. Few here would be impressed by a late smogger cast crank 440. Throwing some new cadmium washers in there would match the hardware store bought bolts...so chill. Could paint them black to camo them.

If that is not an option, cut two spacers out of some round stock. The pump & brackets are obviously not the original '76 non-A/C 440 pieces, I'd trash them without a second thought - my suggestions are just quick & easy ways to get you and anyone else in this same predicament going. Just havin' a little fun, no disrespect intended.
