I went out to Fontana for it's street car drags yesterday - more of a group TNT - but hey - they were side by side for the most part.

There were about 400 cars and about 5 Mopars that I saw.

The two newer Chargers each ran consistenet 14.05 and 14.04. While a new Challenger went 13.92. There was a clean small block 1970 Dart that ran a best of 12.54 and another Dart (Blue) that ran in the 13s.

The guys with the red Dart were very nice though very unrealistic in their expectations. 340 car that ran 12.54 and 12.94 - no chassis work, 4 speed and weighs 3100 (without the driver) - they expect to put a SB 426 mtor in it and run 9.9X. I don't see it, but didn't say anything. As I said though - it is clean and once they get the hood painted, will look really nice.

That's it for the Mopar contingent. The good news is that none of the Mopars broke. There were lots of Chevys, Fords, and Hondas spewing parts and fluid everywhere. Far more than there should have been for daily drivers with no power on an unprepped track.

Oh well - at least I got to spend time at the track - even though I didn't have my car with me.
