I was just wondering where on a torsion bar is the correct place to take a measurement to see what you have? I have a 67 Barracuda, was a small block car, now a 383 (I did not do the swap) and depending on where along the bar you measure, I get all different sizes. Is there a specific spot on the bar I should be measuring? Thanks in advance!

Anywhere except the hex or real close to the hex. They should be pretty consistent along the length.

Ok, Ill take another look at what I have under the car, maybe I was hitting some grime or something. I was getting measurements from .842, to .872 at different points. Im guessing they are still the stock 273 engine torsion bars?

Ok, just measured them again, I would say .842 diameter is about right on. Is that ok for an A-body 383 or is it preference on handling that determines what you should use?
