I want to get a billet aluminum pistol grip shifter but heard they heat up inside a race car Do they get hot enough to burn your hand? Do I need a glove too? just want to make sure before I pull the trigger and buy one thanks

I have a B&M T handle in mine and never burned my hand on it. I do wear gloves while racing but not while I'm driving around the pits.

I can't think of any thing that would heat up a shifter handle whether being horizontal or vertical . Is this a joke?
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead
