I'll SAY IT!!! I think your SB/BB is Great!! At 3010# and 143 MPH the HP numbers are fine by me.

Youve got over a hundred more HP then my 12.5 448 BB It truley is a impressive build IMO. mike

Nice work with the 461ci small block! It flat out works. I am not surprised one bit with the numbers, I have never personally had the chance to see your car run but I can't wait to!

There will always be doubters and haters. We run into it with our Oldsmobile strokers, everyone wants to know exactly all the specs on the engine.

I hope to make it up your way to do some racing with you! We are putting together a W2 468ci for my car this year. I don't plan on making that much power or go as fast as you, but I will gladly line up with you for a boot down the castrol track up in Edmonton!

Good work man!

I hate getting into these kinds of posts...but I'm curious how you got 106% VE with only a 800cfm carb?
It would take 1150cfm from the carb to make that power. Everything looks right and very possible but you'd have to be pulling over 3" of vacume from the carb to get anywhere near the cfm to make that much power.
But if your happy with the engine, that's all that really matters right??

He has listed all the parts and has a glove box full of time slips so to those who don't believe him explain why his car is so quick.

you started your post off, i made 760+ hp with a 750 carb and 1 3/4 inch headers. i'm sure everyone was waiting to hear about your trw pistons next. then you tell us it has a billet crank, titanium valves, a different carb body with lots of mods, coated pistons, lots of work to the intake...so you have over 20g in a small block, great. we are all happy for you.

what did you really expect guys to say?

Go get them Dude tell them to bring there best horse and rider and we will see who goes home with there tails between there legs I agree with some of those that have had the same type of responces(run ins ) from some of the more learned book expets on here, they can tell you how to do everyting perfectlty including the exact best lobe to run on a cam but they can't set the valves on there own 12 sec. cars I for one am a firm beleiver in the old adage, if you can't say something good about a person or there project don't say anything at all unless there one of your racing buddys or racing enemys then all rules are off

Any chance we can get some pics of the block mods to fit that crack and those type rods in a resto block? If that reveals too much I understand just would like to see it.

Before your head swells to much, although you deserve it for the performance you achieve(congradulations) We have a few "small blocks"locally that run mid nines with ease and no power adders.Although Mark Davis has since sold his Demon, his car ran 9.50 and was street driven with less inches and at 3150#.We commend you for a nice car and great performance, but your presentation was a bit strange

Good job, wow with a better set of headers & a little loss of weight you could probably get it in the 8s, very impressive, what trans are you running?

Very nice Barracuda, I am curious on the dial in on the window was 10.03) is this the ET it runs in Alberta at higher elevation. I would like to make some passes on that track myself one day. My car runs 9. eighties here in Calgary so I would like to see what kind of et I could run at Mission (over 3500 foot differene in elevation and great air).
Myself I do not get too hung up on dyno numbers it is really a tuning tool more than anything else.

Ya I had 10.03 because wasnt legal to run 9zz in edmonton or anywhere else,so I had to put that if i was bracket racing(I REALLY HATE BRACKET RACING THO) Agree dyno numbers dont mean much, but at least the car backed them up.

Dyno numbers are like women, there output can vary, depending on the day Dynos, like women, can be manipulted, and end up telling you lies that you will believe
