that is basically how the strip works...nothing in the middle of summer...
I guess it is too hot for them....and they are not the ones who are in the car...
but there are usually alot of UPDATES to the schedule...but dont figure on seeing anything in July and August.
They have gone to a Saturday night and Sunday morning point races hopeing to save the racers who come from out of town money on towing but last year the car count on sunday was down..and it was the locals who were not there....
Good news hopefully the new track in Southern Utah will be done in the Spring...

There is a Rockabilly Rod Reunion and NHRA Hertiage Series race at the end of May but I don't know what the rules are. Looks like another race in June (PSCA). I need to schedule time off now for vacation and love racing at Vegas.
Heritage series rules are pretty easy to follow: Body must be pre-1973 (unless they've added a year or two now), no electronics, no nitrous.
I'm assuming you would run C/Gas which is my class. 9.60 index. I believe they adjust to 9.75 in Vegas.

I'm going to be racing for the Vegas team if I can make it. But I will try to be there for the first 3 at least, then see what my chances are to make the race of champions. I'm still waiting to see what sanctioning body will be in Hurricane, if anyone knows.

No nitrous!!! I just adjusted my car for a full season of nitrous by switching to a higher gear. Don't know if I could slow the car down enough to run a 9.60 N/A but could give it a try . Wife and I are really looking at late May to late June as we both have to schedule our work vacations.

Thanksgiving for the bracket nationals! You can enter more than one class to make the long haul worthwhile.

That was my thought too Jim. If you are going to spend the $$$ to haul that far, that event would be by far the best "bang for the buck"...... but make sure your package is tight and right!! It's a hardball event for sure.

Not legal ????? I dont get it.
Sold his Mopar, has a Chevelle now.
I'd go to a PSCA race for sure. You can run in Open comp, which is just like a normal bracket race, or line up in a headsup class if that suits your fancy.
There are tons of super fast street legal cars and I think you'd enjoy it.
11.48 @ 120 with a 1.80 60' 318, stock 1.88 heads, stock 904, Pump Gas, 13 lbs of boost.
9.94 @ 134, 318 on pump gas, 14 lbs w/ Eddies, transbrake 727, 3600 lbs, 3.54 gear and 28's.
