Hey guys im wondering is it normal for the trans to slip alot after the car has been parked for a while. I have to rev motor pretty good to get the car to move (foward or reverse)when its cold. It takes a while to warm up. Ive always heard with a high stall u need to put trans in neutral when first starting up and let it run for a while, to let fluid circulate i guess (mine is a 3800 stall). When i drove it the other day after being parked for couple months it seemed to have alot of slipping. This is just when taking off from a stop. Is this a sign of stall going or trans prob or is it normal? The prob faded away as it warmed up.

ALWAYS warm your hot rods up in neutral. I warm all my vehicles up in neutral actually. Don't forget to block a tire.

Doesnt sound right to me. I think you got problems somewhere.

2 months setting should in no way make anything slip trans or converter related.

We have a reverse valve body and 3800 stall. I asked about this and was told that you should shift from park to neutral to allow the fluid to circulate then shift to either forward or reverse. Been doing ever since we change to stall converters.

I had this problem years ago with my TA converter. My dad spoke with TA and they said it was the converter draining back because it was getting worn out. They said putting it in nuetral before putting it in gear would help and it did. I did that for a few months with good success and then the snout broke off

fluid looks good. I also have reverse valve body (cheetah) with a TCI converter and yes i know i need a new one. Im working on gettin a new one as soon as i get the $$$$. Next time i will go through all the gears. I just normally leave it in neutral for a few mins.
