Lots of people here are using them and only a couple had issues with em, so that speaks vlaue about them. Seen them on and off engines and hav eseen them run some nice numbers. Since my current project is a small block, I'll be getting a set for the stroker engine next year.

Like any after market part, it's best to have it checked prior to use.

You will have more problems using ALL CAPS than with the Stealth heads!

Mine run well NOW but needed quite a bit of work, I never dealt with the Edelbrock heads but I didn't want to deal with the angled plugs. If I were going it again I'd buy Indy or Edelbrock.

Got mine about a year ago. My engine builder had no problems other than I think he had to do some clearancing for my aftermarket pushrods and he changed the valve springs to better suite my engine.

The valve job was poor, installed heights of springs were off and valve guides were tight. Like I said its all good now but I should have spent a little more up front and got a better set of heads.

Those issues should be expected with any out-of-the-box heads. Regardless of price level or brand. Indy, Edelbrock, 'Source... they all will have similar issues.

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.

dont buy the 440source heads. in the short term you will think your saving money but long term you will have more into them than a set of RPM heads. at least i do.

i really would like to run them on my 500 im collecting parts for stock look, but. ..you know.."i never remember those 440's running THAT good" i would pay ede prices IF they would be a quality piece...and the one that are having issues, please list the issues, that you had with them, and im NOT wanting to bash 440source,cust service ect...just the issues with them, and making them a realiable performance part.

I have about 500 in my Source heads.Id have the same in the Eddys.Mine would have been ok out of the box if I wasnt running such a radical cam and 4 speed.Mine only needed the valse touched up because my machinist is a perfectionist.Id of had that much and more in Eddys because I would have had to had my pistons cut to clear the dome pistons. My shop was impressed with my heads. As he said not a full race head but nice for the price.Rocky

I agree that there are potential problems with any head right out of the box.

There comes a point where the amount of problems with a product exceeds the value. I feel like the heads I got are an example.

I'm glad some of you had great luck with these out of the box. I'm saying if I did it again I would buy a different product. I think that the added expense of the initial purchase price would be worthwhile.
