What would be the best way to recreate the flaking chrome inside my taillamp housing on a 71 duster? Right now it is a chrome plating of some kind that is starting to pit badly, I would like to clean this all up, and make it better, as in more reflective and more durable than new. Also what is a correct finish on the backside of the housing, right now it is really dirty aluminum(?). Thank you.

and you can save some money by going to your local discount auto supply and buy "Real Chrome" paint which is basically the exact same stuff Eastwood sells. The plastic caps of the rattle cans look like real chrome.

As far as your housings, the finish varied, if yours is a goldish color (like a new Holley Carburetor looks) it's dichromate dipped, I offer a service which can make them look new again, just PM me for a price.
