Here is a pic from my '71 Demon. I am putting a bolt-on sixpack hood on and will use pins for the front (with the hood latch). Which hole is the stock location? The hole centered in the pic with no bolt in it?

If I remember correctly my GTX used one of the fender support bolts.

thats the hole. if you look under the hood there is an oval hole that should line up to that hole.

I wish mine had those holes, I just guessed and put them where I liked them.

Right now my GTS (68) is in the garage next to my son's Dart GT (67). The other day I was looking at the fenders and realized that the 68 had a dimple where that hole is drilled and the 67 doesn't even have that area (hard to explain, but the line is straight without the triangular area for the hood pin).

The hood bumper stop is pretty thin. IIRC, 5/16". I think most hood pins are 1/2" dia.

You may have not had the hole there (I didn't either on my Demon), but there should be a dimple there from the factory.

I knocked the little star threded thing out and the 1/2 hole was there...I might have opened it up,been a while..

it does have a hole bigger than the threded part, and that thing is just held on by the tangs

worked for me and seemed to be in the correct spot for the hood flat 68 Dart hood

I had looked at a few pics of the SS/AA hemi Darts and they seemd to be in that spot also,IIRC

I'm doing the body and paint on a buddy's Duster.
We chose to do it the same way at the front, we cut off the hood bumper star-nut and we're gonna use that hole. The plan for the rear is to weld on a bracket for the pins (lift off hood).

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
