I love passtime, I record all of them and watch them when I can. Every now and then there's a car or two that surprise ya but most of the time it just amazes me how slow some of these radical combos are.

There was a nice blue Dart on one I watched this morning that was actually quick at 9.71 @ 136 MPH, but it kinda ruined it for me when he said it weighed 2880 pounds and had 810 HP.

Tube chassis cars with over 500 cubes on a plate system going high 9's low 10's etc....

I still LOVE the show though!

I do the same thing and am AMAZED how slow some of those cars are with the BIG engines from the "Big Name" shops.

It makes my junk look that much better!.

I look at the runs to see what could possibly make these fast cars slow...and try to learn from what these guys are missing.

I would like to see more Mopars for sure.

There was a gen 1 camaro that had a f-2 procharged big block in it only ran like 9.70s. I work part time for a speed shop and the shop camaro was about the same set up and it runs 8.50s. I thought I was going to be all over that one when I watched it for the first time.

My favorite show also, I record all the shows and watch them with my wife, she's not into racin much but she has fun competing against me and the other guys.

most of the cars are turds and whats up with the cars with parachutes that cant get out of the 10's.

One thing I noticed is they seem to film this in the winter/cold...with a cold track and little prep. But half the cars have seldem or never raced before it seems....

Yep even most of the power adder cars seem to be way off the mark, and alot of the cars sound like they are really lacking in the torque converter department.

I missed the 10 second Cherokee, wish I'd seen it. There was one episode I saw early last week that seemed like every car ran really hard, great episode. I really like the host and Ken Herring, oh and Paige also.

But there are just way too many turds lol, alot of them would look much better if the owners didn't hype them up so much and say they have 1000HP.

Everyone wants to make themselves look better on TV in this case. One of those "OOOH!!! Look at me!!!" deals. That's how every 350 makes 500hp and every Cambirdstang runs 10's.

I watch it every chance I get. I've seen each show 4 or 5 times I get better at guessing the ET's that way.

Well, the intake is original (not to the car) so I guess I wouldn't be completely lying.

They would all get confused looks on their faces when you say "max wedge" .

I posted about this very subject a while back and although some cars haul the mail, most don`t for what they are and really make me appreciate my heap.
