unless you want to have a shop do it that has the tool for doing it without removing the tail housing

Well if you have the Rear of the car higher than the front you may not spill any fluid! Remove the drive shaft. block the tranny up! remove the speedo cable and gear mark where it is and the screws on the snap ring access plate.
remove the cross member. remove the six bolts. spread the snap ring and it slides right out.

That's fine but if you have the right tool you do not even have to pull the tail housing off at all.

looks like you need the tail stock off as the output shaft would stick out in the way just as I thought.

Yes that is what I am talking about the on I have at work is a little nicer than that as it has different sleves you can change to use on different units gm/ford/mopar but much more money I have used this type and they work fine all you have to remove is the drive shaft.

Looks like a cool tool... Now all you'd have to do is get the new bushing indexing right and you'd have it made...

That's no problem at all.

ive learned from fellow moparts members that the Miller tool nr,s are 6957 and 6951,but i think this Atec T-0161-A is a bit cheaper,if i remember it right.but maybe it depends of where your bying.im going for a set of these tools to as it would cost the same to leave it to a shop here in sweden.and i rather do it myself and have the tools then jada jada jada, sorry i just watched that seinfeld episode.
