I have a 67 Coronet R/T that came with a console and auto. Soon after it was purchased new it was made into an AHRA and NHRA stock class legal car. The console and stock shifter as well as the linkages were removed and a Hurst dual gate shifter was installed. I've had the car for 31 years and would like to reinstall the factory shifter and console. I have the courtesy lights and harness, but I can't find the 6 position female connector and harness that comes from I assume the instrument panel according to the shop manual. Does anyone know how the factory routed this harness to the console? Did it run under the carpet near the heater box and come out next to the shifter? Or did the factory route it behind the drivers seat under the carpet. The original owner reinstalled the back seat and rear carpet before I picked the car up so I don't know if he buried the connector and harness under the rear carpet. Does anyone have photo's of a car minus the carpet that would show this wiring? Thanks in advance for any help with this.

I can get a pix later, but the wires run under the back of the drivers seat to the console

I believe the console lights run off the connector that is on driver's side kick panel. It runs along the sill plate then cuts to the middle under the rug
