Yup, but a plastic razor blade as opposed to the fingernail...

I bought one of those eraser wheels to remove the vinyl lettering on my enclosed trailer. It didn't work so well...it left "burn" type marks on the paint of the trailer. Heat gun seems to work the best for my application.

Eraser wheel sounds potentially dangerous to the paint. How do they work? Goo Gone is great for sticky residue

its a rubber type of material wheel that goes on a drill, powders the decal and adhesive right off, use it everyday on brand new cars and have never hurt the paint, why would it, this is what its made to do.

I had a couple people burn stuff too but they were using them wrong. They were attaching it to a high speed drill. I never had a problem with them on my cordless drill Use an slow speed drill and it will work. http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/produ...iProductID=1914Eastwood has them on sale but for the little bit of decal you have I would just peel it off by hand and use a heat gun if needed.

Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first.
Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.
