Wow that looks awesome Jules....question though...should the motor be left natural or painted black? At least the part that sticks out into the engine compartment on a 69 B body?

My 68 Charger motor was black however my 69 roadrunner is natural.

Jules, It looks as though my motor has a slight gold tint to it. Was there more than one kind of plating on the housings!? Also, my motor works but makes a pretty good amount of noise (compared to a '68 vintage spare). Does your restoration process take care of this kind of problem as well?

I am not positive on the black versus the plating for each specific years on B bodies and I would naturally research it before shipping your motor back.
I do know that I have several 70 motors that were clear zinc plated.
Charles i would definitely test the motor before shipping and correct all problems before doing so.
I left you a phone message.
I have never seen any gold plated versions.
Best way to check that out would be to open it up and see the plating inside.
By the way the photo above is of an e body. They were all clear zinc plated.
thanks
Jules
